Capturing Process (2019)

Over they years I’ve noticed my interest in capturing the process of exploration into materials. It has been my means of learning about new materials and concepts and has lead me to realize works, and increasingly it itself has become the subject of my interest.

The following is a journey through my previous works where I see this interest growing.

Types of Capturing:
live
to share
public <-----> private

add:
barrel maker –> WSP tool-vest
swatchbook exchange
journals -> expedition journals (MADA open exploreer!)
MADA collective map
writing on anything: on body, in sand, on leaves….

Together with David Cole I set off on a making journey. We corresponded by writing letters for 4 weeks leading up to our publication for the Critical Maker Reader. We set off to explore the full scope of what can be experienced in processes of making with materials and making with people.
